Whats funny is that the banks themselves never went to credit counseling, nope instead they got a bailout. How the hell does the bank get a bailout anyway? Companies file bankrupt for a reason people. These credit counseling companies work with the banks and are profiting off your debt. Why do you think they are so cheap and yet are in business? Heres how it works… Let’s say your 50 grand in the hole. You go to a credit counselor, they work with the bank and get it reduced to 20 grand and tell you it’s reduced to 30 and the bank gives them to extra 10. On top of that once you’re done you’re credit is destroyed. The banks are scared of you filing bankrupt, if they get half of what you owe them it’s more than they will get if you file bankrupt. I don’t think you should borrow money with no intention on paying it back, im just saying these companies are not there to help you.
